The only real issue is their lack of damage when compared to classes such as the Ranger, Assassin, Sorcerer, or the Spiritmaster. But at the same time, they are able to tank, giving them a very unique stance when it comes to grouping.

In terms of Gladiators' weapons, they can use Bows, Blunts, Swords, Duals, Daggers, or Greatswords. This gives them a huge amount of leverage when it comes to searching for items, although generally they will use either dual swords or Greatswords.

Solo Combat

In solo combat the Gladiator just acts like the other damage dealing classes; they just attack mobs in the hopes of killing them before they are killed. The real change comes when they join a group with other players. To further enhance their performance in groups, Gladiator macros and add-ons can be an option.

When soloing together, the Gladiator has to first figure out what their goal is; whether they are going to be tanking the mob(s) or just assisting with killing them. This will influence their skill usage because some skills build aggression and others do not. Being able to distinguish between the two types is a very important goal of all Gladiators.
